The Network was formed in 2008 and had its most recent meeting at the 1st Nordic Patient Safety Conference in Stockholm (Saltsjöbaden) May 2010 [www.npsc.se].
At the Saltsjöbaden meeting it was agreed that the purpose of the Network is
Participants expressed their intention to begin establishing national research networks in countries where such a network does not exist.
The coordination of Network activities will circulate among the Nordic countries, one year at a time, beginning with Sweden for 2010. The Swedish coordination is carried out by the Patient Safety Unit at KTH Kungliga Tekniska högskolan/ Royal Institute of Technology, School of Technology and Health www.kth.se/en/sth
The web site is hosted at the Danish Technical University (DTU Management: Healthcare Group) and is maintained in collaboration with the Danish Research Network (www.fpks.dk).
